Photo: Style.com2009 is set to be a eventful year for fashion with both menswear and womenswear shows scheduled at the helm of the year. Not to mention the award season that's given fashion some of its most memorable moments (who can forget the recent Marion Cotillard in a mermaid Jean Paul Gautier). This year expect great award season-moments from the always chic Cate Blanchett (who recently stunned in spring summer 09 Balenciaga) and Tilda Swinton (my favorite avant-garde clothes-horse). But with the credit crunch looming the world of fashion and retail is set to suffer, we have already seen various fashion heavyweights drop out of the coveted fashion week schedule (Marni Menswear, Vera Wang and Donna Karen). There will also be some major changes in the industry (no more Alessandra Facchinetti at Valentino and the return of former Chloe designer Pheobe Pilo at Celine). Get Ready, 2009 is set to be an interesting year.
